Barista Duties & Responsibilities
Each Team Member is responsible for helping with all operational aspects of the cafe that includes but is not limited to: customer service, opening and closing procedures, and contributing to a positive work environment. A willingness to serve as an advocate of selling techniques to the customer by establishing good communication and assisting in the buying decision-making process. Cafe experience is a plus but not required. A LOVE FOR COFFEE IS A MUST!
- Outgoing, fun and friendly personality with focus on customer service & satisfaction.
- Have pride in your work and hold yourself to high standards.
- Be proactive and detail oriented.
- Ability to operate POS/Cash register.
- Maintain café appearance, cleanliness and follow proper food safety standards.
- Help contribute to a positive team environment
- Ability to work a flexible schedule; mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to learn quickly
- Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions and request clarification when needed.
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Experience in specialty coffee and familiar using espresso and coffee brewing equipment preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements:
- Able to stand for long periods of time.
- Climbing, reaching, walking, sitting, grasping, repetitive motions, and a great deal of smiling.
- Able to bend and lift up to 50lbs.

Pay: $16.00 – $18.00 per hour

Shift: Morning shift
Weekly day range: Tuesday to Saturday. Flexibility as needed.
Experience:
- Guest Services: 1 year (Preferred)
- Food Service: 1 year (Preferred)
- Barista experience: 1 year (Preferred)
